Dedham Council on Aging

 

The Council on Aging is responsible for the advocacy of all Dedham Seniors (4800).   Primary responsibilities include:

  • Preparing a budget that reflects the concern for the welfare of the seniors.
  • Being knowledgeable in all changes and new federal and state regulations to benefit elders.
  • Administering programs that keep elders healthy. Foot clinic on the fourth Tuesday of each month (by appointment). Blood pressure clinic the second and fourth Tuesdays. Tai Chi and stretch and strength exercises weekly.
  • Orders and delivery of Express Meals to homebound elders.
  • Planning seminars regarding finances; medical; recreation and education.
  • Grant preparation for further programs for elders.

 Westwood Council on Aging

 

The Westwood Council on Aging, a department of the Town of Westwood, is dedicated to serving seniors and assisting their families and friends with aging issues.  In cooperation with other organizations, the Council on Aging serves both elders who are well and those with some degree of frailty.  Our professional and office staff, both paid and volunteer, are at your service at the Westwood Senior Center.  We welcome your questions and suggestions.

Walpole Council on Aging

The Council on Aging is the department of town government that assesses the needs and provides the services for residents age 60 and older. The Council was established by the Town of Walpole on April 28, 1969 in response to the legal mandate of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, created by Chapter 495 of the Acts of 1956 and made part of the General Laws Section 8B of Chapter 40.
 
The Aurelia M. Newell Center located in the Town Hall is the focal point of senior activities. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.Congregate and home delivered meals are provided Monday through Friday. Activities at the Center include fitness class, line dancing, walking club, educational and recreational programs, legal services, seasonal tax preparation, health screenings and a wide range of volunteer opportunities.
